Emerging Technology

The technology I explored for my second emerging technology was livingmemory. Livingmemory is a tool that lets you put together albums of photographs that you have taken. It allows you to share your life experiences and is a way to document major events in that have happened to you in your life. The site is very simple to use. You first put a title to the album you are creating. You can choose who can see the album as well. Then you selecct the photos you want to upload into the album. Once you have uploaded all the photos you want to put in the album, you then can create a slideshow. There really isn't many tips to give, the website is pretty simple to figure out!! You could use this for a way to put some field trip photos together for the students. You could also use this to help if you have pictures of something you are trying to explain. For example, you can use it as a step by step album to show how to do soemthing. I created an album names emerging technologies on livingmemory.com. To view it you can search me under Beth Brummitt.

I believe this is a feed I will continue to check. It makes it easier to just click on time rather than have to type in the address or search the address again. I found that alot of the sites that I used were news sites because I like to keep up with what is going on. I found a lot of the information valuable because it keeps me posted on everything and I feel like I'm some what connected with the rest of the country and world. I was not sure what to expect when I started this assignment. I thought that it would be more like a bookmark I guess. It is sort of like a bookmark, but it also keeps me updated without having to go to the actually website which is very nice!
